Islay 5th-12th May 2012

We have just had a week on the Western Isle of Islay, level with the Mull of Kintyre and open to the ravages of the Atlantic weather. The weeks before we arrived had been calm and warm, no such luck for us as high winds and cold temperatures were prevalent.

Still a good week for wildlife sightings though and we saw many species including golden eagle, unfortunately too far away for photographs but still a magnificent sight. We had no luck with otters despite finding signs of their presence.

I have condensed the photographs into one album, which can be found at the following locations:-

Normal service should resume on here this week as I catch up on the wildlife happenings around here.
Many thanks if you have accessed the blog while we have been away, and sorry if you were disappointed to find no upated entries!
